Answers about Coverage, Funding, and Waivers
We accept Minnesota waiver and county funding, private pay, and contracted plans from Medica, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Review the options below, and call us to check your coverage before services start.
Health Plans
We’re contracted with Medica, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. We check your benefits before services start and bill the plan directly.
Medical Assistance (Medicaid)
Aalto Home Care operates as an enrolled provider with Minnesota Medical Assistance (MA). We work directly with state and county agencies, as well as Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), to fund in-home support and housing services. If you qualify for MA, we coordinate closely with your case manager to bill the state directly for your approved care plan.
Private Pay
You pay for the hours and services you use, with a 2-hour minimum. We send an itemized invoice each month. Call us for current rates and to set up a start date.
Waivers
Accepted Minnesota State Waivers
We accept the Minnesota waivers listed here. Most people we support are adults 18 to 55. People on Alternative Care or the Elderly Waiver are considered case by case. Call us with any waiver questions.
